1) Blot up as much of the spilled ink as you can with white disposable paper towels. Throw the paper towels away immediately after soaking up as much of the ink as you can.
2) Spray or use a dropper to apply isopropyl rubbing alcohol directly on the ink stain. Wait five minutes and begin blotting up with some more paper towels. Repeat as needed, but don’t flood area into carpet backing.3) Squirt some liquid Ivory detergent sparingly on the ink stain if the alcohol didn't completely remove it. Let the liquid detergent sit for five minutes before blotting up. Rinse the area by spraying it with hot water, blotting with paper towels until all of the soap is removed.4) Mix 2 tbsp. of baking soda and 2 tbsp. of water. Lightly spray over any remaining ink stain and let it sit for five minutes. Blot up with paper towels. Rinse clean with water and blot again. Repeat and blot as needed to remove baking soda mixture. Your ink stain should be completely gone. Vacuum area carefully when dry to remove residue.
