Spot Removal. YOU Can Do It!!
Almost every spot can be
removed if taken care of immediately.
The longer the spill is allowed to dwell on the carpet, the more chance there
is for permanent discoloration.
Some spots and spills require the professional
equipment, cleaning solutions, and skills of a professional carpet cleaner for
proper removal. Repeated attempts to remove the spot may set the stain or cause
permanent damage.
The
following cleaning solutions and supplies may be useful in spot and stain
removal. Use spotting chart below.
1)
"Avenge" Specialized
Spotting Chemical – We supply Avenge to you free of charge after we clean your carpets.
2) Mild Detergent Solution- 1 teaspoon of Ivory liquid to 1 cup of water
3)
Ammonia- 1 tablespoon to 1 cup of water
4)
Vinegar- 1 tablespoon to 1 cup of water
5)
Non-Flammable
Dry Cleaning Solvent ( such as Renuzit, Carbona, Energize or K-2)
Spotting
Tools: Absorbent white towels, sponge,
agitation tool (such as a nylon brush).

Most Common Household Food or Beverage Spills
|
1) Blot up excess with absorbent
towel. 2) Using sponge or towel and warm water, blot area thoroughly. 3) If
spot persists, apply “Avenge” thoroughly without over using
solution. 4) Agitate area. 5) Blot up with towel or sponge. 6) If spot
persists, consult Cleancare Inc.

Heavy Grease and Oil Based Spills
(Gum, Fresh Glue, Tar, Grease,
Ink, Oil, Wax, Fresh Paint)
|
1) Remove or scrape up excess material.
2) Apply non-flammable Dry Cleaning Solvent. 3) Agitate area. 4) Blot up with
towel. 5) Repeat Steps. 6) Brush pile gently. 7) If spot persists, consult Cleancare Inc.

Protein Based Foodstuffs, Starches and Sugars
(Blood, Milk, Eggs, Ice Cream,
Sugar, Salad Dressing, Candy, Chocolate, Most Food, Old Pet Urine Spots,
Vomit)

1) Remove excess by blotting with
absorbent towel or scraping. 2) Apply “Avenge” or mild detergent. 3)
Agitate area. 4) Blot up solution. 5) If spot persists, apply ammonia. 6)
Agitate area 7) Blot up solution 8)If spot persists, consult Cleancare Inc. 6) Leave absorbent towel on spot and place heavy phone-books
to weight down for two to four hours.

Beverages, Fresh Urine, Fresh Mustard

Beer, Fresh Pet Urine or Excrement) Kool-Aid®

1)Remove excess by blotting with
absorbent towel. 2) Apply “Avenge” 2) Agitate area 3) Blot up
solution 3) If spot persists, apply vinegar. 4) Agitate area. 5) Blot up
thoroughly with towel. 6) If spot persists, consult your Cleancare Inc. 7) Leave absorbent towel on spot and place heavy phone-books to weight
down for two to four hours.

removed with a mild spotter like Avenge or with water. Be careful about
attempting to remove warranted stains in a manner that is not approved by the
